A sad day in the Arkana

I need but one hand to count the number of visitors this blog has had in the last six months, and I don't even need all the fingers on the said hand to do so.

I can't help but question my sanity as I insist on writing posts here (I know it's been a while since I've written a post anyway, but there is a reason for that, I promise!). Despite all my best wishes and a final gamble that I went forward with in hopes of keeping my beloved first child, The Enigma of the V, with a fighting chance, it all went up in smoke right before my eyes.

The option I was hoping for is no longer viable. The story that rekindled the creative-loving part of my heart must now be put to rest. I hoped to regain the rights to my story to publish it where I wanted and do what I wanted with it. Honestly, from the beginning, it was a slim chance at best. And yet I still clung to that slim chance of being able to salvage what is probably the most stupid mistake of my life. Yes, I am the one to blame, after all. It would be a whole different story if I had just listened to the advice I was given. But that's just the way it is. Some of us must crash into reality's dead-cold stare to learn the lessons others get by simple common sense or just a keen ear for good advice.

It is extremely unlikely that you've read The Enigma of the V... even more so that you've read the entire story. But if you read it, I just want to say that I appreciate the time you gave to my beloved firstborn. It saddens me that you won't see anything else related to that story... no sequels... no prequels... no revised edition... and certainly no anime. You have no idea how much I hate to say this, but it's time to move on.

If you have followed the previous posts of this blog, you already know that I had started working on a sci-fi story. What you don't know is that I also have been hatching a new fantasy story. It remains to be seen if this new story will capture my heart and soul as The Enigma of the V did. But it's good I didn't name the blog anything besides Jonkohrr's World. I am planning to do things a bit differently this time, though. Yes, I will still write the story. But I will not publish it as a book in the conventional sense. This will go public as a comic from the very beginning.

I mentioned that there was a reason why I hadn't been writing new posts on here. Well, to put it simply, I was busy with my day job. After work, I didn't have the energy to do much else, so many things were left unattended... including this blog. Now, however, let's just say that work won't be getting in the way of my writing and creating, at least for the time being. Due to health issues, I quit the job and now have all the time in the world. So be ready to receive updates on what's going on with my sci-fi story and this new project of fantasy that is yet to be started.

A dream was crushed and laid to rest way before its time. I'm sorry the world won't learn about Legend, Meg, and their incredible adventure. I won't work on any more edits of the story. My attention will now go to stories that have a future.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. Check out the forum if you have the chance. Take care, and be safe!
